From April 2023 to October 2023, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to trade at Black Eats LDN Food Festival!

Black Eats LDN Food Festival takes place between April and October once a month on a Friday - Sunday at at Bohemia Place, Hackney, East London. It was founded in 2020 with the goal to showcase food and drinks from Afro-Caribbean backgrounds, and has since gained huge attraction, with approximately 10,000 attendees each weekend from across the UK and even internationally. So you can imagine how busy it can get for a drinks trader during a hot Summers day!

We had an amazing time at the festival meeting people from diverse backgrounds, sharing our heritage, introducing them to Cháps and making them apart of our Cháps community. 

We curated a bespoke Cháps-based mocktail menu for the festival for those who wanted their Chapman with a twist. All of our drinks were extremely well praised with us consistently experiencing queues that lasted over 1 hour! (No exaggeration).

The bestseller was our "1 am in Lekki" which consisted of Cháps, Black Grape Juice, Tropical Juice, Blood Orange Syrup and Fresh Orange as the garnish. (Mouth-watering, right?)

The highlight of this experience was seeing repeat customers come to our stand every month to purchase their drinks, being able to then build genuine connections and then making them part of our community. Many of the people we first met at Black Eats LDN even attended our Cháps 1 Year Anniversary event, which was amazing to see.

Needless to say, we're looking forward to Black Eats LDN 2024. Rest assured we'll be coming with a new crafted line of mocktails!
