Cháps officially turned 1 years old on July 7th 2023 and it was only right that we hosted a Cháps Drinks Party to celebrate! consisting of a full menu of bespoke Cháps-based cocktails and mocktails for the occasion.

We began planning the event in April by first looking for the perfect venue to host. This process was trickier than it may seem, as we needed a venue that would be happy for us to not only put our Cháps on their menu for the night, but would also place our curated cocktail menu for the night - which consisted of 8 cocktails and 3 mocktails. After an extensive search, we found the perfect venue NT's Loft  situated in Hackney, East London.

Our next step was to create our bespoke Drinks Party menu...

To so do, we reached out to a mixologist friend that we had met at a previous Cháps-sponsored event. We spent almost half a day with him testing different flavours, spirits and mixes until we decided on the perfect menu. This was definitely the fun part!

We then started designing our Cháps Anniversary Jerseys and sent them to our manufacturers in Lagos, Nigeria to be produced.

All that was left was sending the invites out to our family, friends and Cháps community. Between May and July, we had a series of pop-up events and food markets ranging from Westfield, Taste of London and Black Eats, and we used this opportunity to invite people to our event.

And boy did people show up!

There were around 300 people in attendance on the day of the event, with everybody singing their hearts out to old school RnB with a Cháps cocktail in hand. We were truly humbled by all that came to celebrate with us and the kind words we received about our brand and drinks. The bestseller for the night was our "1 am in Lekki" that consisted of Cháps, Havana White Rum, Tropical Juice, Black Grape Juice, Blood Orange Syrup and an Orange Slice. It was so well-recieved that we added it to our mocktail list for our subsequent Black Eats LDN dates.
