Chaps x Taste of London 2023

Whilst doing our stall pop-up at Westfield White City, we first met our (now) friends from Wild Chai  (we stopped them in the mall attempting to sell them bottles of Cháps!) and they introduced us to Taste of London. They had attended in 2022 and said it was a great experience for product promotion, building industry connections and meeting different brands within the food and beverage industry.

Taste of London took place in June across five days at the lovely Regents Park in London and featured over 100 different brands - from global to startups, large restaurant chains to independents and saw over 55,000 attendees. It's a massive event that also includes live cooking shows, talks and tasting sessions.

It was our first mainstream food festival and we weren't really sure what to fully expect, so as such we decided to go for the entry-level stall named the 'Producers Chalet', which admittedly was also well positioned within the festival.

The first two days (Wednesday and Thursday) were mainly for 'VIP's' from the food and drink industry to have a look at the latest happenings from established and newer brands. There were a lot of representatives from the larger supermarket chains, restaurants and manufacturers. Though, a lot of people seemed to use the evening part of festival as their after work drinks! The following days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) consisted of families and friends.

We used the festival to promote how great our bottled Cháps Chapman is as a standalone drink and also how well it blends as a mixer, via making our Cháps mocktails available too.

Our goal was to have as many people taste and engage with Cháps as possible! So we gave out probably 1000 sample tasters across the 5 days.

The feedback of Cháps was amazing and consistent across the board. The attendees were fascinated to hear about the heritage surrounding the Chapman drink and were pleasantly surprised when sipping. It was also nice seeing the reaction of people that enjoy Chapman as a drink, but hadn't come across it in the UK. Only across Africa.
